We have another convert from BNT
http://profiles.aatraders.com/?player_id=1343
This was a strange friendship. Let's start from the beginning.
It started off in one of the BNT alliances that I'm in, well, made up of mostly BNT players, anyway. Several of the members are BNT-loyal.
Well - she got into a hefty argument with this one other player & because of him, she completely left the alliance & got re-accepted. In the interim, I brought her into the AAT team I'm in, & they helped her out a lot. We had lots of laughs with her in the beginning.
I, too, had problems with the same guy she got into that argument with, being that he has an ego ... only about the size of the former USSR, & always complaining about something

Thanks to Gvar who was generous enough to donate one of his mysql databases & server space to run.
-----------------------------------
I haven't actually disappeared from AATraders completely. It seems I'm more behind-the-scenes, observing the wars, battles & buildings that go on. The few games I am in, I'm in because someone invited or coaxed or sort of twisted my arm to join them in the game & their teams, or testing things out.
I also found out that if I quit smoking, there'd be enough cash on hand to start my own server. The problem is, it's quite tough
Well - it also looks like we have another one who converted to AAT from BNT this time A-Blitz (who I've played with in many BNT games a good while ago) has joined the AAT family.

Sunday at work, the computer mouse almost went flying. In an attempt to catch it, I slammed my right wrist against the edge of the desk.
Seems strange that the next day is when it is the most painful.
I also seemed to have hit a pressure point on my wrist because when I hit my wrist against the edge of the table, it felt like a jolt of 500 megawatts of electricity flowing through my hand. The doctor said that nothing's broken, but keep the arm up for better circulation.
I can use my right hand somewhat, but I can't handle a computer mouse. So I'm restrained to using my left hand. To make matters worse, I keep right-clicking everything. I also discovered that I am a lousy shot with aiming the mouse pointer with my left hand. Well - it's a good laugh anyway. Gotta keep that sense of humor
I'm still keeping an eye on the games I'm admin of. As for the games I'm in, I only go in & collect my cash via IGB, & slowly limping along being that my good hand is not as zippy as my right.
Dark Elves
I'm with Phaser & The Donald now. There was a minor skirmish between THe Donald & myself, but we got distracted by conversation. Also - surprisingly - he is pretty close to me - considering the entire world, probably an estimated 180 miles? Looks like Lucy won't be back because she's maintaining her #1 positions in another game, as well as Kitty Matrix.
Kitty Matrix
It has been relatively quiet for me. This is where I discovered how hard these games are without a good mouse hand. Namibia & Corn field & I were the most active players on our team. Because of my injury - it looks like it will just be the two of them. Sorry to leave you two to carry on with a lot less of my help.

A while back, Bovine mentioned in his blog that I managed to nail 3 ships in one shot.
They apparently tried to get my home SG. So I pulled out my nova ship & let 'er rip. I managed to have gotten 3 ships with that one stone, or as Bovine had shouted, I got three ducks in my pond.
Why did I label this "The Tarnus Maneuver" you may ask.
Well - back in early April in the team tourney, Tarnus did the same thing to me & two other team mates while we were taking back a sector. So - I credit him with that idea in defending myself
BTW - I'm typing with one hand because of an injury. No notceable typos

Dark Elves
Errr - sorta tied the knot -- on myself
Taken from the rankings page:
13 767,970 Koloth Just Married 0/0 0 0 0 11 1,701 10 74,761 Jul 9, 2004 - 1:51am
14 625,562 Lucy Just Married 0/1 0 3 4 2 362 31 20,376 Jul 5, 2004 - 9:39pm
It's not the placement from the score - it's the team I'm on ...
Yeah - I'm having a good time there. She & I sorta arranged this in my game where she plays at, & I talk to her on a regular basis through Alliance Leader.
BTW - thanks to Phaser & Kwae Zar for the nice wedding gifts. Comes in handy for planet developmnents.
My Game
Things are going TOO smoothly. Not a sign of a cheater ever since I had reset the game back like on July 2nd or 3rd. Only thing is - I'd like to get the low-bandwidth templates on there, but I'm unsure with going about it.
Kitty Matrix
Well - re-united with a bunch of old friends from back in the BNT days from before there was the options to destroy planets or fighter degradation or sub-orbital-fighter-attacks & all those inconveniences.
It was in the last game where I started talking to Count Dooku & renegade on a regular basis, as well as joined their game, CSRL.
CSRL
Love trading there. They have the commodities ports set for nice profits. It's just the 3 of us there & it's nice & quiet. We just trade our turns away, maintain our planets, & occasionally say 'hi' to each other when more than one of us are online at the same time.
